Bilski’s Steak Sandwich

 

Every year during our first outing of the year, one of our longtime members cooks a veritable feast for everyone, usually around 75-90 people, here’s how it goes.

 

Each 12-14 lb sirloin flank will serve between 25-30 persons

 

12-14 lbs boneless sirloin flank, you can get this at any butcher shop, make sure that it is plastic bagged as you will need the bag for marinating the steak

Montreal steak seasoning, approx 1/4 cup

Minced Garlic, approx 1/8 cup

Italian dressing, approx 32 oz

 

Mix ingredients and pour over steak in the bag it came in, shake well and refrigerate at least one day prior to cooking

 

Grill till the sirloin is 145 degree in the center, this will be slightly pink in the center and slice to approx ½” thick.

 

Green Pepper 6-8 per flank, sliced up

Onion 6-8 per flank, sliced up

Minced garlic 1/8 cup per flank

Olive Oil, as needed

Salt to taste

 

We take and grille up the green peppers and onions while were cooking the steaks. Pour olive oil into the frying pan as needed trying not to drown the veggies. Cook through till tender.

 

Put slice on your favorite 8” deli roll sliced, put green pepper & onion mix over and add mozzarella or A1 sauce to top it off.

 

Add your favorite sides and chow down
