RULES
AND REGULATIONS
1. Admissible
exhibits: Boat Dealers are allowed to
display new products and up to 30% of their display can be products from the
past two (2) model years. Used boats or boats that have been previously owned, are
not allowed. If in the event proof of said new products is necessary,
exhibitors will provide proof upon request. If an exhibitor wishes to display
photographs of used boats it will be allowed upon the following conditions:
1. All photographs so displayed will be in color
2. All
displays will be a maximum of 4' by 4' easel type
3. All
printing will be clear and legible
2. Payments for space: All deposits or rental fees will be retained by show
management in the event that exhibitor fails to fulfill, violates contract, or
withdraws from the show. Each 10-foot booth includes a back curtain if a back
to back aisle and an electric outlet. Tables and chairs available at minimal
cost (see contract). Please advise 10 days prior to show if you will need
extra.
3. Show installation
schedule: It is assumed at this time that all boats will be brought to the
show on trailers and the use of power lifts for cradled boats will not be
needed.
4. Exhibitors space: Maximum
height of exhibit shall not exceed 12 feet, including a sign of a maximum of 2
feet. Exceptions may be granted only under extreme circumstances. All
exhibitors and their material are not permitted to extend beyond the boundaries
of their rented space. No signs may be attached to the walls. Advertising
material and/or any other material that promotes a place of business or
manufacturer may be distributed in individual booths, but its distribution is
prohibited in the aisle ways, lobby area and entrances to the
5. Any exhibitor that may cause damage to any rented display curtain,
floor or area assigned to said exhibitor, said exhibitor will bear all cost for

6. Exhibitor passes: No
more than two passes will be allowed per 10-foot booth. Large exhibitors will
be allowed passes for only necessary sales personnel to staff the display
properly. It may be necessary for exhibitors to shuttle passes among sales
staff.
7. Displays: For
security purposes, expensive articles should be accompanied by proof of
purchase to allow purchaser to leave arena. It is the exhibitor's responsibility
to provide reasonable security for their own booth or area during set up and
show time.
8. Liabilities: Exhibitors
hereby agree to indemnify and save harmless, the Huron Valley Steelheaders, The
Monroe County Expo Center, their managers, officers, sponsors, employees,
agents, successors and assigns from any suit or claim for personal injury or
for property damage or for loss of use of property by whomsoever sustained on
or about exhibitors display space or arising out of exhibitors participation in
the show, unless damage or injury is due solely to the negligence of the Huron
Valley Steelheaders, Monroe County Expo Center.
9. Insurance:
A. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to provide
adequate insurance to provide protection of said exhibitor and the Huron Valley
Steelheaders for liability caused on, near, or around said exhibitors assigned
area or damages caused by such said exhibitor.
B. Insurance for protection
against fire, theft or damage to exhibitor's materials must be carried and paid
for by the exhibitor. The show management will provide no fire, theft or damage
insurance.
10. At no time shall an
exhibitor allow another person or
business to use or sub-lease their lease space. If there is to be more than one
exhibitor in one lease space, the other exhibitor must be registered on the
original application for lease space.
11. Parking costs: Parking is free for exhibitors and the public.
12. Electrical Lines: Electrical outlets are at each booth in the floor. It is
the exhibitor responsibility to supply any extension cords, power strips etc.
for use of electrical power. It is also the exhibitor responsibility to ensure
these devices do not constitute a trip or safety hazard as per current safety
codes.
13. Phone Lines: Phone lines are not available on the show floor of the
Expo.
14. Amendments: The show management shall have full power in the
interpretations and enforcement of all rules contained herein, the power to
make such amendments thereto and such further rules and regulations as it shall
consider necessary for the proper conduct of the exhibitors. By signing a space
application/contract, the exhibitor agrees to abide by all rules, regulations
and decisions of the show management.
15. Cancellation: Show management reserves the right to cancel the show
at any date and time prior to the scheduled show date. Any such cancellation
prior to the scheduled show date will result in a refund of the exhibitor
deposit. Inclement weather during the scheduled show times, (winter) will not
result in cancellation of the show.
